I hope you folks had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving! Mine was quiet and peaceful, which I suppose is the best thing to have for a holiday.

News from last week that is really news for this week: PHP 5.1 is out! I have a feeling this is going to be as significant a release as 5.0 was, for different reasons. 5.1 marks the evolution of PHP 5 from “it’s shiny and new and hopefully works to boot!” to “it’s here to stay and getting more stable and polished every day!”. Good stuff. I’m looking forward to getting it set up on my Mac OS X test box once entropy.ch has binaries available.

Oh, and BTW, in case you haven’t figured this out yet….

PHP 4 is DEAD!

Long live PHP 5.

Update: geez, no sooner do I post this than I notice that PHP 5.1.1 is out! Oh, the pace of development these days….
